Social Media Addicts Struggle To Make New Friends, Keep Old Ones In Real Life

People who are addicted to social media have trouble making friends in real life. Researchers surveyed over 3,000 adults and found 60% meet up with friends less frequently, with 55% agreeing that social media has made relationships with friends more superficial. The average person said they would classify just 23% of Facebook friends as true friends in real life.  A third admitted they wish they had more close friends now than they actually do.
