West Nile Virus Found In Dead Bird In Jefferson County

Public health officials in Jefferson County have confirmed the discovery of West Nile virus in a dead bird.  The positive test result came back Monday.  The Wisconsin Department of Health Services says only two other counties — Milwaukee and Dane — have found West Nile in birds or bugs this summer.  So far, there have been no human cases reported.
