One of the easiest ways to clear your head is by journaling. This will probably come as a surprise since I get paid to talk, but I have a really hard time saying what’s on my mind. I’m a great listening and conversations flow easily, but in moments where I need to open up, I close down.
For a long time I struggled with my bottled up emotions, but about 3 years ago I got really heavily into journaling and now my emotions flow freely without having to open up to anyone at all. My thoughts and feelings get out of my, but nobody else knows what’s going on: it’s a total win-win situation.
Every day when I get home from work I spend 10-20 minutes writing about my day and doing a journal prompt for more release. You can find so many different journal prompts online, but the one I’ve been using for the month of July is this one here.
