Brewers Hitters Absent in Double-Header Sweep Loss to Cincinnati

Milwaukee Brewers hitters were stagnant Thursday while being swept by Cincinnati 6-1 and 6-0.  An infield hit by Luis Urias kept Milwaukee from being no-hit in the nightcap.

The only run scored in either game by the home team came on a home run by Omar Narvaez in the sixth inning of game one.

Reds outfielders Jesse Winker and Nick Castellanos combined for nine hits, six runs and seven runs batted in.

The pair of wins gave Cincinnati a split of the four-game series. The doubleheader was the first ever played at Miller Park.

Milwaukee has struggled to a 4-and-8 record at home this season.

The Brewers try to turn it around this evening when Corbin Burnes starts against Pittsburgh. We’ll have Brewers-Pirates baseball for you on 940 WFAW. Our coverage begins at 6:35 PM.
